Plant cultivation

Our companies operate on the soils of the Hajdúsági-loess Hills, Bihari Plain, and Sárrét regions, in the vicinity of the Keleti Main Canal, Sárréti Main Canal, and Hamvas Main Canal. The average soil quality index is 24.3; some areas have a looser structure, while others are more compact, requiring different cultivation methods. The goal of our crop production is to support the livestock sector and to grow market crops. Therefore, our crop rotation includes autumn-sown cereals (winter wheat, winter barley, rye, triticale) and spring-planted crops. Among these, the most important are corn (silage, sweet corn, industrial corn, seed corn), sunflower, oil pumpkin, green peas, and perennial legumes. In 2023, our companies produced 3% of the sweet corn, 4% of the green peas, and 2% of the seed corn produced in Hungary.

With our continuously updated machinery fleet, we aim to achieve production with as few operations as possible and in the most cost-effective manner. Our machinery is suitable for precision farming, and we use expanded soil sampling on our fields to implement more site-specific cultivation practices.
