Our services
Egg Production
Our main profile is table egg production and pullet rearing. Production takes place at our laying farms located in Földes, Sáp, and Püspökladány, and at the pullet rearing farm in Földes. The raising of day-old chicks to pullets occurs in our 94,000-capacity cage-rearing barn, renovated in 2014, and in the 50,000-capacity Vencomatic free-range barns built in 2021, under a strict animal health, feeding, and hygiene program. Our farms operate in a closed system, meaning that from the arrival of day-old chicks to the departure of laying hens, we employ our own equipment, feed, and workforce. Our laying farms are equipped with Big Dutchman and Vencomatic technology.
We consider it important to follow EU directives related to housing technology and animal welfare. Above all, we value allowing our customers the choice of which egg production method they prefer.
The grading and packaging of eggs are carried out in our Egg Grading Plant, which received MSZ ISO/TS 22002-1:2011 certification in 2016 and IFS certification in 2020. The incoming eggs are processed using our modern, automated MOBA sorting and packaging machine, tailored to current market demands. During the sorting process, only high-quality, fresh eggs are packaged to fully meet our customers' needs. We sell our products directly both domestically and internationally.
Integration
On the crop production side, we also engage in integration activities aimed at the full or partial integration of farming partners and organizations. Based on this, we enter into service contracts for cultivation, drying, storage, and input material procurement. Through collaboration, we can achieve a more efficient cultivation structure.
Plant cultivation
Our companies operate on the soils of the Hajdúsági-loess Hills, Bihari Plain, and Sárrét regions, in the vicinity of the Keleti Main Canal, Sárréti Main Canal, and Hamvas Main Canal. The average soil quality index is 24.3; some areas have a looser structure, while others are more compact, requiring different cultivation methods. The goal of our crop production is to support the livestock sector and to grow market crops. Therefore, our crop rotation includes autumn-sown cereals (winter wheat, winter barley, rye, triticale) and spring-planted crops. Among these, the most important are corn (silage, sweet corn, industrial corn, seed corn), sunflower, oil pumpkin, green peas, and perennial legumes. In 2023, our companies produced 3% of the sweet corn, 4% of the green peas, and 2% of the seed corn produced in Hungary.
With our continuously updated machinery fleet, we aim to achieve production with as few operations as possible and in the most cost-effective manner. Our machinery is suitable for precision farming, and we use expanded soil sampling on our fields to implement more site-specific cultivation practices.
Irrigation
The land cultivated by our companies is largely irrigable, with irrigation managed by the irrigation community. We have a total of 18 linear-type irrigation systems, which operate with open ditch, mobile hose, and pivot systems. Additionally, we have a 10-unit reel-type irrigation system. Irrigation needs depend on the planted crops, and we strive to minimize the impact of drought on yields. Our goal is not necessarily to maximize yields through irrigation, but to ensure yield security.
Transporting
In this business sector, we have approximately 25 company-owned vehicle units, with different types of superstructures depending on the cargo being transported. Continuous development and modernization of the fleet is a clear strategic objective for us. For transportation, we consistently utilize the services of carefully selected and vetted subcontractors. For larger capacity tasks, we organize and manage the logistics of around 50-100 vehicles. Our fundamental goal is to transport our own produced crops, as well as purchased crops from our farms and basic feed required for our livestock, using our own fleet of vehicles.
Dairy farming
We conduct dairy production at two cattle farms, with an average herd size of 1,750 milking cows.
Locations of our farms:
- Földes – Bárándi Road
- Berettyóújfalu – Balogh Farm
Both of our farms use free-flowing robotic milking technology. Our barns are equipped with automated ventilation systems and scraper systems for manure removal. The welfare of our cows is ensured by the two-chamber water beds and stress-free milking. In terms of production indicators, we rank among the best dairy cattle farms in Hungary. Our farms also implement robotic feeding, which prepares feed rations according to group needs and requirements. The herds are based on a Hungarian Holstein-Friesian dairy cattle breed developed from Black and White Holstein-Friesian crosses.
Our bulk feed is 100% harvested from areas managed by our company group, using Krone and Claas silage harvesters. Our compound feed is supplied by the company's mixing plant.
Our fundamental goal is to produce high-quality milk while considering animal welfare.
Feed production
The primary task of our mixing plant is to meet the feed requirements of the livestock within the company group. The production of mash and pelleted feed for laying hens and dairy cattle takes place on two lines, allowing for parallel production and maximizing our capacity utilization. The plant operates based on the principle of batch processing with whole grain measurement. Thanks to the two scale bins and automated scale control microcontroller, we can precisely adhere to the required recipes. Grain milling is done in a disc mill, which is fully automated, allowing for easy adjustment of particle size according to the animal species and age group by changing the distance between the discs. The paddle mixer achieves the desired homogeneity of the feed within 120 seconds and also allows for the incorporation of vegetable oil. Our capacity for mash feed production is 10 tons/hour. The high quality of the pelleted feed is ensured by the CLM 320 pelletizer, which, thanks to the electric rapid steam generator, minimizes the environmental impact of the plant. The capacity of the pelleting line is 2 tons/hour. The process control of both production lines is managed by a PLC.
Thus, our theoretical capacity is 30,000 tons/year for the mash line and 6,000 tons/year for the pelleting line. Our fundamental goal is to utilize the crops we produce ourselves, and when it comes to purchased feed, to ensure that we acquire controlled quality directly from the manufacturer.
Crop trade
The company group owns three drying facilities:
Agro-Földes Ltd. Dryer: Drying is conducted using a San Jose-type dryer with a capacity of 25 tons/hour. The energy required for drying is sourced from piped gas and an IPMI-type 4 MJ capacity pellet boiler. Grain is sifted using a Zanotti-type flat screen, then placed in a cooling silo and subsequently stored in long-term storage facilities.
Rákóczi Ltd. Dryer: The LAW SB14LE grain dryer, with a capacity of 15-30 tons/hour (depending on moisture content), ensures energy-efficient and environmentally friendly drying of any cereal grain due to its unique heat recovery system. The desired moisture content is achieved thanks to high-performance axial fans and auxiliary airflow suction control. Gentle cooling prevents over-drying and cracking of the grains.
Agro-Cow Ltd. Dryer: This is a tank gas-operated dryer with a capacity of 15 tons/hour, designed for drying both partner and company-produced grains.
Annually, our companies process approximately 15,000 tons of autumn cereals, 40,000 tons of industrial corn, and 3,000 tons of sunflower. Our total storage capacity is 95,000 tons, consisting of flat storage and silo towers. We have the necessary infrastructure for loading and unloading, with the capability to handle up to 1,000 tons/day for our customers. All three sites are equipped with 60-ton certified bridge scales and certified grain testing equipment. Our facilities are under video surveillance 24/7 to ensure product security.
We purchase delivered grain within the company group, which is then either stored, sold, or used for our livestock. We always provide the most favorable prices to our sellers.
